STEAM
STEAM learning strengthens the foundation of STEM by enhancing critical thinking skills and recognizes the intersection of art, science, technology, engineering, and math. Curriculum is blended with our learning program to innovate using an interactive course methodology.
We offer take-home activity kits, introduction to mentors, science shows, workshops, festivals and camps after school hours, weekends and during summer breaks. Students are exposed to career options in STEAM fields beyond academia and industry.
Robotics
Robotics and Electronics helps develop problem solving skills and creativity. Robotics projects reinforce literacy skills, as innovators research and record their experiments.
We offer innovators an environment to experiment with new technologies and concepts. Robotics curriculum is meticulously designed for each grade within a 4C structure (Connect–Construct–Contemplate–Continue). Students receive a foundation understanding in how industrial technology works with robotics and automation.
Artificial Intelligence
When Student Innovators meet Artificial Intelligence, Innovation reaches a different level! Today’s students are the first generation to grow up in a world with artificial intelligence. But many don’t realize it. Designed to blend seamlessly with other technologies, AI operates invisibly in the background of their lives. Because it doesn’t look like they expected, robots that think and feel like humans, they often don’t recognize it for what it is.
To prepare students for an AI-powered future, as educators we pull back the curtain on AI and help kids understand where and how it influences their lives while mentoring them to innovate using AI. From Fundamentals in AI to Computational Thinking and more, our curriculum prepares innovators to adopt AI technologies in their Innovations.
Coding
Coding with Kids is a mission to bring great coding programs to as many children as possible. Coding curriculum is designed to grow with our students. The Coder’s Ladder defines computer programming skills from beginner to advanced levels.
With each step up the ladder, students gain proficiency in specific programming skills and add new, more complex projects to their portfolio. Levels are taught in age and experience appropriate development environments, Concepts are taught through projects, - Scratch or professional programming languages, such as Python or Java, website development, mobile application development or scientific computation projects.
Sustainability
Sustainability is the key driver for Innovation. We introduce the UN Sustainable Development Goals to children and young people and unite them in action. The SDG– A global, transdisciplinary vision for the future course is self paced .
Students select a campaign, complete a design and writing assignment. Adopted by the United Nations in 2015, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are 17 goals with 169 targets that the UN is committed to working towards through the year 2030 with the hope of creating lasting positive change and freedom in the general areas of People, Planet, Prosperity, Peace, and Partnership. Students are introduced to world projects in Sustainability and Social Entrepreneurship initiatives.
Entrepreneur skill
The mind of an entrepreneur is the most equipped to deal with the difficulties of tomorrow and navigate through the ever-changing terrain of modern life. Young children can be a part of the new world of Entrepreneurship.
The Kidpreneurs Academy is an interactive curriculum training program that not only teaches your kids about entrepreneurship but sets the student up to become successful entrepreneurs and allows parents to get involved in the process at every step.
iLAB innov8r Entrepreneurship Program at VSS creates the next generation of innovators and changemakers through entrepreneurial learning.
Our Approach: Everyone Can be Entrepreneurial
At VSS we believe entrepreneurship is about having a vision and making it a reality and that it isn’t just about starting companies. It is a skillset and a way of thinking that involves identifying needs, brainstorming creative solutions, taking calculated risks, learning from failure, and persevering despite setbacks.
Anyone can be entrepreneurial in her own way and that’s why we focus on nurturing in our students an entrepreneurial mindset—the ability to learn from failure, be resourceful and confident, and work well with others to bring their ideas to life.
